I got a job with a company who used Ventura on the GEM environment. It
allowed me to shoot myself in the foot so easily. But, once I learned how
to apply the rules, etc., I was amazed. And this was on DOS-based machines
with a 8086 chip and only 640 kb of RAM.
But, yes, Corel did not do it justice
based architecture,
constrained writing environments, and the separation of content and form". I
do not consider myself an expert in this area, but based on that description, I
believe Flare falls into that category.

We're finally using FrameMaker here. I've used it since 5.5.6 but here's a
situation I've not seen before.
Before, they were using Word and an XML-based authoring system. Word did
not play nicely with their automated review process, but, with their XML
documents, the author could sign the fil
frame. It is OK if the first text frame is no longer
selected.
Click on Format > Customize Layout > Connect Text Frames.
Regenerate TOC.
