Translate FrameMaker book to Hebrew/Arabic and convert to onlinehelp

2006-08-18 Thread Martinek, Carla
One of the translation companies I work with has managed to hack FM to work right-to-left. Currently they are translating and DTPing some of my content into Arabic. (Have not done Hebrew yet). We haven't needed to push the Arabic into HTML help yet, so I don't know if that will work or not.

If you need to send a complete Framemaker file and all of its graphics, I recommend using the Archive plugin. http://home.comcast.net/~bruce.foster/Archive.htm It makes a self-contained copy of all Frame files and associated graphics, which you can then zip together and mail or ftp. Carla

Gillian - Create an import from document for each customer that has the variables set for product names, part numbers, conditional text settings, etc. To switch from Customer A to Customer B, just import the settings from the appropriate document. If you need to make the document look different

MS Word question

2006-04-28 Thread Martinek, Carla
I've been working on a .dot form for management reporting in MS Word (yes, I feel unclean!) I'd like to insert a graphic (question mark) that provides a pop-up window with some instructions when moused over in the .doc file. Is this something that can be done in Word? Word2003 WinXP OS

Just got notice about the Adobe Acrobat 7.0.7 Professional and Standard update - multiple languages. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3318 Anyone have any idea what the third bulleted item, "Additional stability improvements," relates to? It's probably too much to hope
