I could see where a custom font would be a problem if the job was not meant for
print or PDF.
However, one could use HTML font-includes for web-based help or embed the font
in an ePub.
Of course, that brings up other potential problems: such as having a reasonably
up-to-date browser or ePub read

*A LOT depends on how well the InDesign document was created: were styles
used properly, was the file created with one long text flow (like Frame) or
a bunch of separate text boxes, etc.

I have not tested it and it is currently in beta--but it sounds interes

(On a minor note: if creating EPS files on a Mac, be sure to save with an
8-bit color TIFF preview, not the default Mac preview.)
Another option is to upgrade to an Intel Mac. You can run Windows on it a
number of ways, and there is a beta program that lets you run Windows
software directly

I'm running Frame 8, 9, and 10 on Windows 7 64-bit.
I am running Acrobat 9 and X on the same system, but I can't speak for
version 8.

Where did you create the drop shadows? In AI?
What format did you save the AI files as?
What were your PDF settings?
What version of Acrobat Pro do you have?
(I noticed you are using Distiller 6--is your Acrobat the same version?)

I still have the old Mac version of Frame, but I don't even have a Mac that
can run it!

What is the cost of ePublisher? (It's not listed on the site.) The OP was
