Last week, as early as Friday, I was able to create PDFs from Frame using
Acrobat 8 Distiller with no problems. PDFs came out as expected.
Today I create PDFs and Acrobat drops text and cross-reference links at
random.
I have not made any changes to my system (Windows XP SP2, 2Gb RAM,

I erred in saying nothing changed on my system. Monday morning I finally
received my registration number for the CS3 package. I activated my CS3. That's

The marker type does not have to named "Filename". You can name it
anything you want as long as you define it also in WW. Once again, I'm
not sure where in the application. I'm not at work today, but I think
Style Designer is in the Options menu or similar.

Is this a new problem or has someone experienced this and I missed the
fix/workaround.
I have a 50 page table of Acronyms and Glossary Terms with cross-references
between cells. The cross-references work fine until I sort the table, then they
are all broken. There are 163 Unresolved cross-

The first bookmarks for the first chapter come out correct.
For the second, and successive chapters, the ChapterTitle bookmark appears
after the Head1, Head2, etc., bookmarks. For example:

What is wrong with using the Watched Folders feature of Acrobat Distiller.
Install Distiller on the remote server and have it launch whenever the server
is booted. Print your postscript files to the IN watched folder. Distiller will
automatically place the PDF in the OUT watched folder.

Running into a wierd problem which seems to only appear on one or four systems.
All four systems running Acrobat 8.1.1 on Windows XP SP2. PDFs are being
created from FrameMaker 7.2 with Distiller 8.

One of the biggest problems with WebWorks is that if you upgrade your Frame you

Unless you have a backup of the book and associated files that are unchanged,
then the MIF method may be the easiest way to go.
If you had renamed the chapters from the book the cross-references would have
been automatically recreated and it would have saved you all of this work.

You don't say whether you are using Structured or Unstructured.
If using Structured, try changing your cross-reference format to point to the
Figure and not the Caption. This will cause the jump to stop at the anchored
frame which is immediately above the figure.

I am assuming that you are outputting to HTML. If this is the case, it is an
HTML issue.

Probably the best way is through MIF.
You could use a program like TextPad, shareware from www.textpad.com (or $35US
if you like it), and open all of your MIF files at one time, versus opening and
closing each MIF in something like Notepad.
