At the book level, highlight all of the chapter files and press Enter (opens
all files). Frame will ask to reconcile the first "missing" graphic and
remember this as it opens the other chapters. At least this has worked for me
with Frame 7.2, as long as all of the graphics are in the same folder

xrefs to variables because the less experienced Frame users kept breaking
the links and generating unresolved xrefs. We didn't think this would be
difficult problem to resolve, but a number of the writers kept break
but the ACE can--if the interviewer has even heard of ACE. However, some
people might be impressed enough just by the fact you are "officially"
certified. Also, as an ACE, you can train for an Adobe-certified company.

I have seen this when my font folder was bulging at the seams (Corel is
great for this if you installed all the fonts).
Frame is looking in the Windows\Fonts folder. It will attempt to
recognize ALL of the fonts in that folder. This is the reason it is
taking so long.

You must have a font that supports the Alt+0128 when you enter the Alt
code. I just tried it with Helvetica Neue and it works just fine.
In your tab file, find the first instance and make the change manually.
Then copy what you manually did to the clipboard and globally search for
the wrong charac

I wouldn't have taken the MIF route to change the fonts. I would have
gone through the Paragraph Designer and changed the Paragraph Tags so
that they all called Arial instead of Helvetica. Then I would import the
Paragraph Tags from the edited chapter to all of the other chapters.

I won't say it can't be done, because it can, but not with a couple of
clicks. Acrobat can SaveAs RTF, Frame can import Word; saving your PDF
as RTF, opening this in Word and saving it, gives you a way t

(On a minor note: if creating EPS files on a Mac, be sure to save with an
8-bit color TIFF preview, not the default Mac preview.)

resolve this issue.
1. Create a set of variables, one for the part of the number that
doesn't change, then separate ones for those portions that are unique
per guide.

company I've run into had some Unix users mixed in. Of the Windows users,

only a single word, and then have a cross-reference display only the

Open the Cross Reference dialog box, select the relevant format, and
click Edit Format.
In the Definition field, check whether a specific character building
block, or a paragraph building block with a specific para format, is
included in the format's structure. If yes, this is pro
worthwhile endeavor?

I could be wrong, but I believe that Monotype Sorts is the Windows TT
knock-off of Zapf Dingbats. I don't think it is installed by default, but
with additional fonts during a custom install.

f you have experience with Microsoft Publisher? If so, can you tell
me if Publisher deals with images better than Word? Also, is the numbering
function better than it is in Word?
Does anyone know of a solution for our engineers in the field?
