Hello Frameworkers, I'm looking for films from 1940s, 50s, and 60s that
use contemporaneous furniture and architecture in their sets: for
example a film from 1940s with a Nelson bench, or one from 1950s that
has the (currently ubiquitous) Eames chairs, or a Jacobsen Swan chair
set in the 1960s,
Yeah, Kodak's Hollywood outlet closed last November. When I bought the
last cases of Super 8 for my class and 16mm for myself, they told me to
mail order film from their Rochester, New York facility.
You can buy 16mm film from Pro8mm in Burbank, too.

The old fashioned way to telecine is cheapest: project film on to a wall
and shoot with your video camera---did it that way for years and still
do with student films. Find the shutter speed on your video camera that
minimizes the flicker.

Dear Frameworkers,
I have an 8-minute 16mm film scheduled to be screened in a few weeks in
Europe and had I hoped to send it in film form.
The original was shot in 7266 Tri-X reversal on three 100' rolls and the
festival selected it from a low quality transfer, where I cut the three
rolls toget
I could loan you one for tomorrow only (I have a Canon 1014 and 814, and
Nizo). One day only 'cause unfortunately I'm leaving the country for a
week on Monday AM. I'll send info off-list.

Looping super-8 isn't so hard without a "looper" (we used to find these
on eBay, but not so much anymore), if you remember that the film always
has to have a certain amount of easy tension. You can create a track by
using metal sewing machine bobbins (which happen to be 8mm) and small
