All it outputs is a loud hum. Robert films told me that the amp is shorted out;
that it's a common issue with elmo's and the only solution is replacement of
the amp, which (if you can find one) is about $600. Needless to say, I left it
as is.

Denevi Digital has Elmo belts. I got my ST600 working with Denevi belts. The
problem I have is my audio amp is shorted out and I have not found a solution
to that. I can play silent films though.

I just shot this stock, used a light meter and made sure the tungsten filter
was out (shot in daylight). It looked quite good, but it's grainier than the
old Kodak stocks.

I do, and it's a photo place in California that took over the Elmo inventory. I'll look it up this weekend and let you know. Christopher
I have heard of doing the same thing on a steenbeck which I want to try. Steenbeck gives you a nice constant speed.
I have several, but shipping from Canada is likely pricey.

If you can find an old analyst projector (used for studying films as fast or
slow as you want) you can go any speed. I have an old one here that needs a bit
of work, but it is almost functional.

I shoot 16 and 35 (and super 8) as much as I can, but it's getting challenging
with the labs going down. I do not own camera gear beyond a regular 16 bell and
Howell wind up and some super 8 cameras. I shoot so many different formats
that camera gear is impossible to keep up with! The Atlantic
