Does anyone know of a McMinnville, TN area (Murfreesboro, Cookeville,
Woodbury, Smithville) FreeBSD User Group? I don't remember seeing one on

the area, so not sure of interest level either.
I'm going to go search the Yahoo a

two totally different platforms. To expect the same be

You should find unsubscribe instructions at the end of every list email.

I would go to questions, but I'm not sure it's relevant there so I
thought I'd ask here.
I just received a new, never been unwrapped before I touched it, audio
CD (Santcus Real, Pieces of a Real Heart). I can play it via 'cdcontrol
play' but it won't play in VLC, Audacious won't recognize it, and

I just got done with my first install, from CD, no net connection
(currently) to the box. I was kind of concerned about how I was going to
install the tools I need to start being productive (starting with a
shell other then sh). I read the manual about how sysinstall can be
invoked on a running sys

The FreeBSD os comparison[0] mentioned in the subject line is woefully
out of date. Where would I go to bug someone about a newer one? I'm
telling a (relatively) minted geek friend of mine who wants benchmarks
and stats on FreeBSD vs. Windows XP (and when 7 is supposedly ready for
prime time, that

I've recently downloaded FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE and am hopefully going to
have it up and running on my computer (a different machine then the one
I'm writing from) by the end of next week so I thought I'd introduce
myself and tell a little bit about myself.
I started using Linux (I know, I know, Free
