bsdconfig not able to get packages from freebsd ftp site

hi all: i am trying install packages with bsdconfig on freebsd 10.1 and failed. it stuck at the following message for a while : "Attempting to update repository catalogue from selected media" finally it gave up with following message: "No pkg(8) database found" thanks. _dave __
