Hi,
Can somebody commit the following patch for vinum. This is already inside
FreeBSD-5.0, but seems to be forgotten in 4.X-STABLE.
It fixes a strange (and unknown) error code when doing vinum detach. The error
variable is not set to 0.

Hi Attila,
Yes, I did ifconfig fxp[01] up. I didn't matter.
Julian reminded me a ng_fec is available in STABLE, which I'll try first. I
took the one out of Bill's directory.

Hi,
I have a trunk configured on a Baystack. I am using ng_fec, downloaded from
Bill's directory last night.
When I configure two fxp ports with the example load script, I'm getting a
message fxp0 up and fxp1 up, but fec0 doesn't work. I have assigned an ip
address and try to ping outside, but
The bktr supports the 848 family chipset as I recall. I have used the Xv
extensions made for the GATOS and KATOS projects. They are Linux projects,
but do some work on FreeBSD as well.
Almost a year ago I had it working with an ATI Wonder which also has an BT878
chipset.

Hi,
I know this topic has been brought up numerous times. I have 4 IP4 internal
networks (sf0 .. sf3)
I have a cable modem connection ep0 and a DSL ep1 connection too. I'd like to
route all traffic from sf0 and sf1 to the DSL connection and the others to
the cable modem. At the same time I'd
Hi,
I recently installed a 4.5-RELEASE system on intel and cvsup'ed it to
4.5-STABLE. The make buildworld failed because it was not able to find
certain defines in the include files. This is no the first time I have
encountered this.
The work-around is to copy the include files to /usr/includ
Hi All,
I'd like to accomplish the following: I have two locations, connected via an
IPSEC tunnel. Is it possible to connect the vlans at both ends through the
tunnel.
Is this possible with existing software? What would it take to do something
like this?

Hi,
I have a Winbond based card with an Altima AC104 media interface. No matter
what I do i am not able to recognize the AC104 through the SIO interface. The
BMSR register value stays at zero. I have the datasheets of both the Winbond
and the Altima and everything looks ok.
So far i see the
Hi,
I wonder if there is somebody who has a working winbond ethernet card. My
card has a W89C840 chip and an AC104 PHY. The driver doesn't find the AC104
and as a result the kernel panics. The fix to avoid the panic is very easy,
but i started to wonder if it is the AC104 that is causing this
Hi,
I am trying to boot off a iomega zip drive. Without success. The boot code is
not able to find a UFS file-system. The drive is connected as a primary
master. There are no other drives connected.
I have tried a dedicated disk and normal. I have tried different motherboards
with newer BIOS
