Hello,
Would you guys put and old Celeron (running Freebsd 5.3) 266Mhz with

I have this old machine and I am thinking about buying an internal DVD
writer for it, since it is cheaper than buying and external unit for my
laptop.

Second question in a row...
I am trying to configure X to use the linux frame buffer, but when I

The system halts, but still no power down. Is there a sysctl for this

BTW PDWN in the keymap (the three-finger-salute) would have to

Hi,
I have read the man pages, searched a few forums, but I did not found a
way to prevent dhcp to do not change my /etc/resolv.conf. I do not have
access to the dhcp server configuration, so I need to change it on my
client. I also tried to chmod it to only read mode, but that did not
work out.
If your machine is a stand-alone box, try using /etc/ppp/ppp.conf in
the demand mode. Works like a champ.
