I just tried changing my password, but it has no effect until I su to
root and run pwd_mkdb. Any ideas? This is on a FreeBSD 5.4 install
that has since been updated by source to 6.0.

I have an unusual problem I was hoping someone could help me with. I have
a FreeBSD 5.3 server that's been up for longer than a month. In that
