10.1.1.8printserver
so that the 'printserver' name is resolved. No doubt a reverse DNS entry
would have done the job too. My syslogd command line is like yours.

carefully checked the metacity values in
gconf-editor but none of them seem to control this.
Any pointers on how to do this (without switching window managers :-)

on an ISO DVD to 2GB. You must use UFS for larger files. These
guys have been making CD/DVD burning software for some time. I suspect
they know what they are doing.

you cannot create such a filesystem with a tool like mkudffs. Are there
