i've installed pure-ftpd to replace ftpd.
but since i'm running pf, i wonder what happens to this inetd.conf entry:
ftp-proxy stream tcp nowait root /usr/libexec/ftp-proxy ftp-proxy

inetd.conf are no longer applicable.

Sorry if this is a repost, but i am having some email difficulties. I am
getting a startup error message: Can not find the ftp account when
atempting to start pure-ftpd. I'm using this on a 5.x machine, and i've
created a pure-ftpd user, but i don't see a facility to specify user
greetings.
i have setup a pure-ftpd server in a jail allowing only TLS connections.
i am using clients like coreftpd lite, i notice that i can successfully
log into the server yet basic commands like list refuse to work.
i also noticed that everything worked great as soon as i used the server
