List, I created an (mostly) Open Source Studio to Transmitter Link using Darkice, FreeBSD,liveCaster, icecast and vlc. I posted about this a over in March of 2007. It has been running with no problems for over a year now. I am hosting a PDF that tries to documents what I did. See: OSSTL

Hello there, Trying to build a live music broadcast server on freebsd. So far I used (at least I gave it a try) Icecast for broadcast and ices to supply icecast with the actual stream. As I said I never heard a sound broadcasted. Somehow ices cannot cope with icecast on my machine. Anyway, I

I'm curious what clients people use to send data to icecast. I tried the native client, ices, but it kept bus erroring. I've found oddcastv3-jack and I'm working on porting it to freebsd. Also, how well does jack work on FreeBSD. I can't seem to get it to work. Any tips on using it? Every
