You shouldn't require the grep...you can do this instead:
# portversion -vl"<"

pkg_version -v > pkgversions.txt
then you might check the generated textfile for current packages which are
outdated, and need to be upgraded...

confirm me whether my steps are ok
1) Install portupgrade
2) Sync ports
Ports-supfile contains as
