Maybe someone here has encountered this before.
We just got in a new wireless access point (as-4000) well it can only auth against an
interal username/password or MAC list or a radius server. I would like to make it
auth against our existing username's and passwords useing NIS. W

I don't see why not. Ascend's implementation of a RADIUS client
isn't nearly as bad as

Actually, with RedHat, I edit the file /etc/ld/so.conf.
I add the path to the Oracle libraries. That's the key!
I reload the links with the command
ldconfig
I restart the radiusd, and it passes!
I can even remove the path to the Freeradius libs
/applis/freeradius/lib
The result is the same.
