Hi All
Is it possible to use a domain name (instead of an
ip address) in the clients.conf file ?
My NAS is on an ADSL line using DDNS for ip
changes.
Thanks
Barry
suggestions would be much
appreciated
RADIUS doesn't handle dynamic IP addresses for clients yet. Maybe
in 6-8 months there will be a standard. See:

Thanks

Hi there
In the main /etc/dictionary file it states that the
pre-defined dictionaries should not be edited.
The dictionary.nomadix file is outdated.
Where should I add these attributes ? Why should I
not edit the pre-defined dictionaries ?
Thanks
Barry

Why? I don't understand why you've gone out of your way to install
an old version of the server.

And when I do - netstat -an | grep LIST - i don't
get any tcp connections on ports 1812 or 1813.
I do get the udp ones.
It seems as if the server is not listening on the
ports.
Is this a problem or is this normal?
Thanks

just can't find the answer to
this problem anywhere.
There is no rlm_sql_postgresql file on my server to
found.
does freeradius work on SUSE ?
(if it does - what can I do to fix this prob
?)
thanks

I have a working version of freeradius v0.8.1 authenticating off of the unix password file on a RH linux 7.1 server. I would like to authenticate off of my iplanet ldap server v5.1 on the same host. i have compilled radius to use ldap.
I have add ldap auth in radiusd.conf and setup the radius
before
suffix.
The relevant output from radiusd -X with a User-Name of barry shows
that it works correctly:
rad_recv: Access-Request packet from host 127.0.0.1:32770, id=111,
length=63
User-Name = barry
User-Password = test
