The FreeSurfer distribution takes 10G of the disk space in my local
installation. It has numerous tools, but it’s not modular, or at lest it’s very
hard to tell boundaries between modules.
E.g. /bin folder contains around 860 exec

loosing much in accuracy) with some parameter configuration for
mri_ca_register ?

Could you please suggest the most effective way (in terms of time) for
computation of statistics on segmented volumes from .nii source file?
So far I went though the following steps:
recon-all -autorecon1 -no-isrunning -subjid te
yes, careg is required. In general you should run things all the way to
the end of recon-all as the surfaces are used to improve the accuracy of
the aseg.

I tried all the transformation matrices (although as per case 1 of the
referred link, i need only inv(tkrvox2ras) which is present in the MRI
struct). but no one is able to map to the desired label location.
