Thanks for the tip Ruopeng!
Just tried MobaXterm. Nice piece of software!
I had to enable hardware acceleration (mobaXterm -> settings -> X11 -> OpenGL
acceleration -> Hardware) for freeview to work at all, but it worked-now the

Dear Freesurfers,
I just installed Freesurfer
(freesurfer-linux-ubuntu18_x86_64-7.2.0-20210721-aa8f76b) on Ubuntu (Ubuntu
18.04.6 LTS) running in Windows 11's wsl2.
So far Freeview is running fine-I can load volumes and surfaces, and add an
overlay

Hello,
Is it possible to use my own lookup table for surface overlays in Freeview? I
could not find it from the GUI and in terminal using
:overlay=someOverlay.mgh:colormap=someCustomLUT.txt did not work (the
:colormap argument is not recognized).
t I am talking about as much as I hope it
is just a silly mistake on my side :-P
Thanks a lot again for your help!
Sébastien

there aren't really any workarounds other than using a machine with more ram.
Otherwise you can reduce the resolution. Maybe try -r 0.

Quick question :
When using --label with bbregister, does the specified label file mask in or
out (is the the voxels that are out or in of the label file that are excluded
from the analysis)?
Thanks a lot!!

Hello Freesurfers,
I have been using mri_compute_volume_fractions for a while and I just noticed
something weird. Some clearly csf pixels (sometime very large groups) are not
filled in the *.csf.mgz image mri_compute_volume_fractions produces The first

Hello Freesurfer,
I am trying to obtain csf, wm and gm tissue volume fraction maps that matches
my distorted high-resolution EPIs.
Is it possible to input a displacement map to the mri_compute_volume_fractions
command, such that the surfaces will be deformed before computing the csf, wm
