On my macbook pro (MAC OS X 10.5) I have recently updated my X to 2.3.0 and
now I can not launch tkmedit:
$ tkmedit $SUBJ brainmask.mgz rh.white -aux-surface lh.white
Converting main surface: 100% done.
Converting main surface: 100% done.
Converting original surface: 100%

From where did the X update originate? tkmedit is known to work on mac
os 10.5 using the default X setup.

My other X (KDE) applications continue working, and FSL (Tcl/Tk GUI) works
fine too.

I have just installed freesurfer. Although tksurfer and tkregister2 seem
to work fine, I get the following error message when attempting tkmedit:
X Error of failed request: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such
operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 129 (Apple-DRI)

Yes, I am. If tksurfer would still work on an Intel, then this appears

I am using freesurfer on suse 9.0. I have run into problem
while using tkmedit tool. When I click on the volume button in csurf , it
initially turns purple and then again becomes white without doing
anything. It does not spit out error messege either. Using the log messege
