I agree that an OS X port would be a lot more straightforward than
Windows, but I don't think it is the best use of a SoC applicant.

A windows port is much more complicated, MacOS X is a Posix system,

interested in doing would be creating a "true" version for Mac OS X,
i.e. an .app-bundle that contains all libraries and support files, so
that users can do a drag & drop installation.
