Pascal- I had a similiar but less stark issue with to nearly identical hardrives. Try using hdparm /dev/ to see what the settings are on each drive. I would expect the old 40 to be a bit slower but not that much. The -t option run gives okay bench marks but needs to be run about 3 times for an ac

Hi, Just bought (very cheap !) a PVR-150 card for my test box. The picture is incredibly great, so I'm just showing a TV program. Every 3 or 4 minutes, the system seems to freeze. After some investigations, I understand that this is at the moment one temporary file (for the live pause option)
