I have figured out the problem just can't seem to fix it. The new
mencoder can't seem to find the tv-tuner.
Here is the output when I put that line below onto the command line...
TV detected! ;-)
Selected driver: dummy
name: NULL-TV
author: alex
Selected input hasn't got a tuner!

I just upgraded to the new mplayer, now I get 80% (from 30-40) cpu usage
and a file size of 2060. Anyone deal with this before? Here is the code
I use to record
./runtime/runapp --prio=-20 /usr/local/bin/mencoder

I ended up upgrading automake and autoconf to the latest version in
portage and now i can build the latest SDL cvs snapshot. With DirectFB
0.9.20 i can now run freevo using dfbmga and defining
SDL_DIRECTFB_MGA_CRTC2,
If i simply specify dfbmga and set primary-layer=02 in directfbrc i
still get
Make sure you use rev 1.13 of src/video/directfb/SDL_DirectFB_video.c.
Its kinda funny though... I think that would fix your undefined symbol
problem in itself! Sorry for the rant about the runtime but its still
not the right way to do it. ;)

Oh, sorry, I'm still used to having to patch SDL for directfb (you still
do for dxr3) and if you use SDL CVS then you will need to massage

Check the weather plugin. I have found that is occasionally a major
cause of unresponsive UI.

And right agin :) And thanks again
That leaves only the recording things to configure. I'll see about that in a
couple of days. Thanks for all your help.
PS Freevo is now responding very slowly. Meaning that when I press a key I
have to wait for about 20 seconds before it responds. And

This is why I keep telling people NOT to use the runtime if using

I've recompiled DirectFB and SDL in the hope to fix my tearing problems. All

Hi,
The frequency list should look like this.

How can I remap the freevo keybindings to the multimedia buttons on my
logitech multimedia keyboard?
I have read the wiki and the FAQ; the documentation concerning re-mapping
seems to be only concerned with LIRC.
Thanks for your time,

Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of installing freevo onto my XBox ( now running Linux ).
My current problem is, that I can view movies by using mplayer ( have to do "-vo x11"
), but not from within freevo. I only do get "ERROR: unknow error while playing file"
on my console.

year now, (http://www.target-earth.net), I thought it would be time to
catch up with the latest release and give it a whirl on some old
