Updated to 1.5rc4 today on the off-chance that the DVB-related work on
mmpython might have helped things, and now it seems to be working
properly again.

Any idea ?

So you think it would be better to let freevo grabbing tv programs. Thanks for

When running $ freevo tv_grab, there is a line that says something like:
re-adding favorites...
So I guess that should do the trick :)

Hey!
I recently bought a Sanyo PLV-Z2 to my home theatre. But when I use freevo I
get wrong aspect ratio on everything (4:3/16:9 files/TV).
I have played around with autocrop and use wid, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
It's quite irritating ;).
Regards
Johan

Yes, so you don't also have to run the schedulefavorites helper.
Well, it seems i'm unlucky, i just updated my listings and i still don't have
favorites scheduled. Freevo
I noticed that I get blankscreen while playing movies when in fullscreen
mode. If I press z it fixes it.
I added:
MPLAYER_SOFTWARE_SCALER = '-fs'
but this did not seem to fix it. I still have to press z to fix problem.
I also tried
MPLAYER_AO_DEV = 'sdl'
but this did not work either.

I too have this problem, but have always just hit 'z' to toggle back and

have learned to live with it but it would be nice if I could stay in

What happens if you start mplayer from the command line? Do you get the

Mplayer actually does start in fullscreen mode, but if freevo is in
fullscreen mode already, then mplayer starts behind it, we have to get
out of fs mode in freevo by typing 'z' in order to view mplayer

OK, this is one I should have been able to figure out for myself, but
it's perplexing me.
In my recorded TV folder, freevo is happily making an .fxd file for
every .avi that is recorded. So I get pairs for everything recorded,
ie

Hi,
I'll answer it myself, at least for one question :
Freevo is distributed with font set Vera, which is ISO8859-1 only.
Solution is to set font alias in freevo_config.py (or local_config.py)
to font with the correct charset included, in my case verdanab.ttf.
