Folks,
I'd like to add the argument: '-af resample=44100:0:2' when i play audio
files and cd's. However, Freevo already sends MPlayer the argument '-af
export=/tmp/mpav'. How do i add the re-sample argument to the one that
Freevo already provides?
I muist be missing something.
Thanx all,
Bear
What freevo version are you running?

I must say that this solution is great... I don`t think that you could spot a
different in 48 or 44.1Khz on some great Amplifire.. I use this option with optical
output and it is fine... For movies I use mplayer and for mp3 I use xmms with the alsa
plugin. And I must say that it is workign perfe

JJDogs,
Yes, this would be a solution, but not the best one, and I'm a
perfectionist ;-)
The hardware has no problem with 44.1 and 48, so if I could just find a way of
issuing the command automagically...
Resampling will make your experience to suffer, depending of the audio system
obviously
Hi,
I'm running Gentoo 2004.2, Freevo 1.5.0 mmpython 0.4.5 and trying to get
freevo to play dvd's. When I put a dvd in and select the drive it won't play
the dvd instead shows the Video_TS and Audio_TS directories.
I have searched the mailing lists and tried the following to no avail,

Unfortunatly neighter "tv://%(channel)s -tv " + neighter the changes
described on
http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/RecordingInfo
didn't have any effect in my case.
My VCR_CMD now is:
VCR_CMD = ( 'aumix -l 100 -l R -i 1; '+
'/usr/bin/mencoder ' +
'tv:// -tv '
Try to put to freevo_config.py this in the mplayer options:
MPLAYER_AO_DEV ='alsa -ac hwac3,mad,mp3,pcm -aop list=resample:fout=44100
the aop option should be what you are looking for
It works for me. I had some movie at 48kHz and couldn`t get the sound so I use this

1. what do they have? if they are not in the default video extensions list they won't
show up. You can append new extensions in local_conf.py
2. there is a detach music bar. but some tasks are not easily done together since we
don't do any real audio mixing. (so no play games and listen to music
I now have a working installation of freevo with directfb (G400). I
was hoping to find if freevo can be easily configured to meet my
following needs.
1. Watch VDR recordings without having to convert them to mpeg files?
I know I can play it on mplayer, but freevo does not show these files
when I
I need somehow to use the Alsa iecset utililty to set the bit rate to 48kHz
before playing a dvd, and back to 44.1 when playing music.
Is there a way to add a command when entering menu choices "Watch a movie" and
"Listen to music"?
Or is there an even better way of doing this?
I use spdif p
Every time I run Freevo it tells me the version of Xine needs to be > 0.9.21
and thus deactivates the plugin. The problem is I have Xine 0.9.22 installed
and shows version 0.9.22 if I run it manually. What is Freevo doing that
makes it think Xine is not the latest version? And how do I fix it?
