Times for scheduled recordings are still displayed in 12 hour format eg 9:15 PM
allthough setting for 24h format is defined and used in the TV guide. 21:15

Hm, I don't think there's any correlation. I think
freevo simply calls mplayer in fullscreen mode, but it
doesn't know
