[Freevo-users] how to use framebuffer?

Hi. I want to try framebuffer for freevo. I can get it work with X and vesa (I have problems with tvout), but I'd like to try framebuffer. I don't know what packages I need. I'm running debian sid and udev. If I load vesafb, I get a /dev/fb0, but freevo doesn't run. Maybe I'm missing some

Hi Rene, I am using grub and the following works for me. You need grub and the oneshot patch¹. many thanks for the info. I tried to patch my 0.95-version, worked. Failed while running make. I'll do some research there. Added grub support to my script! Regards Georg -- Mein

Hi Dirk, i want to use MPD to control the music part of freevo and didn't find anything abou that. Both systems lock /dev/dsp so that i can't use both in paralel. What is mdp and what do you want freevo to do with it? MPD ist the music player daemon. It play's the music like freevo on one pc, but
