Hi,
I'm running into this strange problem that I'm not able to solve.
Whenever I watch a certain real video stream via freevo/mplayer the
video stutters and it looks like it's skipping frames every 2 seconds
or so. Audio is fine and CPU usage is around 75%.
Mplayer gets called by Freevo the follo
Hi.
Some time ago, I read here about some people trying to write a podcasting
plugin. I'd like to know if there is something usable for 1.5.3. I'm starting
to discover this new service, and I find it very useful. Freevo has to
support it ! :) So what do you say? Any good news?
Alberto
Thanks for your answers!
Well, my CPU is a 700Mhz, so encoding and decoding at once is really a
problem (plus azureus is running as well on that machine ;)
And my soundcard is branded no-name, so i guess it's not full-duplex at all.
But i can really life with that for now.
Ill try it later @ home

Do you mean, running the tvtime as freevo user and then configure
channels, etc?
I did that... and it works fine outside freevo only. May you post your
local_conf.py?
Hi

I thought that I just had to configure TV_CHANNELS and I will be done,
but it´s not true, and freevo always

Well, one of the problems was cpu power. If the main problem is that the sound
card isn't full

What about using priorities? I assume that the time mencoder takes isn't
important. You could

You could create a simple wrapper for mplayer that checks to s
Hy,
because of a lack of cpu ressources and some problems with my soundcard a
can only record OR watch/listen something with my freevo box - which is
absolutely fine for me atm. (until i get more powerfull hardware).
Now i would like to prevent the user from accidentially running mplayer
while me
