I took a look at the unicode handling in freevo, and attached is a small patch
to fix a couple of things:
1. urllib.quote() only handles strings, not unicode strings
2. Add sitecustomize.py to set the freevo default encoding to 'utf-8', so that
each .encode() call does not need to specify
In testing the unicode stuff, genre.rpy was one of the things that failed to
display the filtered listings at one point.
Turns out that part of the problem was the generated html, which is broken in
such a way that it would not render anything in konqueror. Passing the

There's a problem in the webradio part, the -playlist option is always
passed on to mplayer.
http://streamers.at.sara.crossmediaventures.com/Skyradio only works
without -playlist.
The playlist option is auto-detect right?
Maybe there's a way to disable it in the fxd file?

I have also the i810 driver with Xorg 7.1.1 (Debian unstable), and both,
mplayer and xine work fine. It's not a laptop, but may be my settings will
help you. These are the sections in my xorg.conf that I think will interest
