current encoding options
since the plugin I'm working on allow selecting container, codecs, desired file
size or predefined profiles...
I hope there is a simple way to do this.

I regularly update kaa and freevo 1.x from svn.
I couldn't say when things went wrong (a few week ago at maximum) but
I used to have VIDEO_PREFERED_PLAYER set to mplayer but for DVD xine
was used.
I don't know how but this is exactly what I wanted.
Now, either both use mplayer or bot

I'm currently playing with all the encoding stuff to be able to rip
DVDs into OGM and Matroska containers automatically based on
DVD_PREF_LANG to rip DVD audio tracks.
I'm also playing with subtitle ripping, even if containers support
mainly srt and that one nearly always requires user intera
Anyone knows how to get the lavc supported codecs ?
I know how to get mencoder supported codecs : mencoder -ovc help but
I'd like to have the detail for lavc since it contains its own
codecs... and that depends on compile options.

I'm playing with freevo 1.7 encoding server to rip my mother CSI DVDs.
So I added 2 items to encode in Xvid and Divx format (2 pass) with a
350 MB size.
All went well for the season 1. The file weights about 380 MB which is
ok and the video is in 4/3 size format.
Now I'm beginning
Sorry, I'm not sure if this is because I loaded the dvdimage plugin or
if I renamed the audio_ts and video_ts to upper case, but now it works
:)

Two questions today :)
The first : I know it is possible to read a DVD backup on Hard Disk
just like a DVD disc. I backed up a DVD on my HD and tried but that
doesn't work in my freevo setup.
I just can browse the DVD directory tree. The original DVD is
recognized as such and play auto
