Maybe the workaround creating symlinks is helpfull for you, too. for i in [starting_with_a] ln -s $i /anotherdir/a/$i im sure there is a way to improve this (so you dont have to do with with every letter)...but im not firm about shell-scripting, sorry. or maybe even better for you:

Hi, I'm after a way of making my MP3 collection more accessible in Freevo, as afaik Freevo can't group anything at all, nor can I page though a list quickly . Initially i'd like to have freevo group all folders in a container based on the first letter of the directory. My directory structure
