Would I see any significant differences between an fvwm2 installation
on an ubuntu system when compared with an installation on an xubuntu
system?
My gut feeling is that it's probably better/safer to install fvwm2 on
ubuntu as xfce is fairly specifically expecting the xfwm window

I'm thinking of moving back to fvwm2 (from xfce on Ubuntu) but one of
the things I *really* want, even though it seems trivial, is the
ability to have curved/rounded corners on the title bar.
Is this easy to do in fvwm2 yet?

I really like the window frames from Pem's Artic theme. How easy is
it to get just these applied to my existing fvwm setup?
I know I once tried Pem's Artic setup and it just changed too much for
me to be comfortable with it.

Up until now I have run a minimal gnome-panel on my fvwm desktop to
get access to the Gnome menus. However I would prefer not to have to

The fvwm-menu-desktop utility seems to have a very out of date view of
how Gnome menus work (or where they are), I think it *may* be looking
for the Gnome 1 menus.
Is there an alternative that can give me Gnome 2 menus (specifically
the Applications and System menus) in fvwm or has anyone modified

How do I make SnapGrid (well, Style * SnapGrid) work only to the edges
of the screen? No, that's not quite what I meant.
Is it possible to get windows to snap to the edges of the screen when
they are within (say) 10 pixels of the edge, i.e. can I get it to work
like SnapAttraction does?

I thought this should be really simple but reading the fvwm2 man page
hasn't really told me how to do it.
How do I change colours in fvwm2?
I only actually want to change the colours of borders and title bars
to get a 'flatter' look than the default with a colour rather than grey.
Presumably (bu
Are there any fvwm2 Window Decoration themes that look vaguely like
the Gnome default window decorations? I.e. something fairly minimal

If I go to System - Preferences - Look and Feel - Desktop Effects and
click the "Enable Desktop Effects" butoon it crashes my fvwm2 session.

I want something *much* lighter than, for example, Evolution as I have

What fonts/typefaces look good in fvwm?
Specifically I'm looking for ones to use in menus and window headings.

moved from 2.5.21 to 2.5.24. Everything is working pretty well and
has migrated across OK except that the fonts used by fvwm seem to have
become rather large and spidery.
It's particularly noticeable in the menus you get when you

Something (and I guess it's fvwm related though I'm not absolutely

shows:-
/usr/bin/ssh-agent /usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session fvwm
It causes me problems with an ssh tunnel I use so I have to kill it.
