That got me thinking. Wonder why they did remove the sound in but kept the microphone. I don't remember, over the last 20 years that I used a Macintosh, that I ever used the microphone. Sound in, yes, microphone, no. Anybody else? No one really knows... To save space? The save money? Someone

What options are there for getting analog sound in through USB? Not a whole lot. The easiest is probably the iMic, which is around $40-$50 or so. Just went through hell with one- they aren't bad at all, just for some reason it ships with the Gain set really, really high. Michael Bryan Bell
