I have a Lombard and I am going to set up my IMac running 10.2.2 as an
Airport base station. What can I get to allow my lombard to join this
network wirelessly?
thanks,
Todd
You can get a pcmcia card. I got one for my Lombard from Macwireless.com

My fix for this is rather odd, but it worked for me:
Get an OS 8 or 9 CD and boot to it by holding the C key at startup, and
so on... Reboot when you get there, and let it boot to OS X. That should
work.

I have to send my 40 GNX back to trans intl, very loud and clicking
sounds coming out of it right from the start and continued for last 30
days. I need to wipe this drive clean, really clean. Will apples disk
utility on 10.2 wipe it so no info will be able to be recovered or
seen. If not

As I posted a few days ago, lately I have been having to force quit OS X

Hi guys.
Let me add some info here.
When a drive is formatted, all the contents of the drive are still there.
When you select the ZERO all data option, this effectively makes the
formatter erase all the data on the hard drive, as opposed to just
formatting it. It's all a bit technical, but in

I have a Pismo, but I was wondering with all this talk about using
bluetooth to sync your cellphone with your Powerbook--can you just use
a USB cable instead? I want to purchase the Sony Ericsson T68i
cellphone and use it with iSync when it becomes released officially.
But I just don't want to

Hi all,
I'm running 10.2.1 on a 192MB (128 +64) 400MHz Pismo.
Currently, it is running fine but I'm wondering if adding more RAM, say to
bring the total to 768MB or 1024MB, will have any significant impact on
performance?
Can anyone who has done this comment? I regard myself as a power user on

Yes. It should be significantly faster. I've experienced this on a G4
Cube (going from 128 to 640), an iBook (from 128 to 384) and a Pismo
(from 192 to 640). You'll see far fewer spinning beachballs.

Hi all,
Has anyone tried to configure a router or switch using the Ethernet
interface and OSX? I've not tried it, but it should be possible to do so
using Terminal.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark.
