I forgot to mention these things ..
I am running OS 9.2.2
I have an S-Video OUT cable connected to an adapter cable with a male end to insert in
the S-Video IN port on the tv.
how does one set the Pismo to mirror?

I know it's an option with PC laptops where you can run just the laptops LCD, just the
external video port, or both. I was wondering if the PowerBooks have this ability.
I've only got PB3400 and while it's got an external video port I've never tried it and
the newer PowerBooks probably have

I boot my Pismo and Clamshell both from LaCie external firewire drives
by simply holding down the option key and selecting the partition and
then clicking the right arrow.
