I am thinking of buying an HP JetDirect 170X which is a parallel to Ethernet box. I have a 175X at work which works ok but that's a USB and newer unit, but the 170X unit is non-Mac, but with a PostScript printer shouldn't it work anyway ??? Larry

I have one of those at home (170 EX I think) and it basically sits out there and can act as an LPR server. I'm printing to it off of 10.3 w/o any issues and had it working under 10.2 as well. My only issue was that my printer has sketchy OS X support so it took a bit of time to get that

What exactly happens when you try to launch it? I've tried both the preview release and the release candidate binaries on my icebook running both 10.3.3 and 10.3.5 and have had no problems whatsoeverthe disk image mounts, I copy it to my apps folder and it just works when launched. On Wed,
