And I thought this would be simple.
I want to buy a headset for my Powerbook G4 to use mostly for language
programs. I am finding many different kinds with many different prices
and little explanation of what makes one better than another.
What is the experience of people here as to
Has anyone had any experience in buildling your own external antenna
for a Titanium Powerbook Airport card? Specifically I am looking for
any websites that might have instructions on building one.

Hell everyone:
I have a G3 Wallstreet (the roadkill) which I have upgraded with a 20
gig HD, a Crescendo WS/G3 550 mghz board, 288 Ram, and have changed the
screen from the bogus 12 inch to the decent 14.1...
I am running OS 10.1.5... Does anyone think I will have any issues
installing 10.2.8?
Just JAM a coathanger into the network portas hard as you can! Works
really well.
(I'm kidding, I couldn't resist.)

It'll run without the pram so I'd stat with the under trackpad powerboard
and the sound board at the back.
I thought the pismo had some design quirk whereby it wouldn't start with
a dead PRAM battery, but would if you bypassed the battery altogether. Or
am I thinking of some other Mac?

Dear Listers
Can I tell you a shaggy dog story and then ask for some advice,
please? (If not, please just delete this mail!)
Got myself a 400MHz Pismo recently. Love it to bits for the look
alone but I want to go wireless with it. (I have a wireless router
that's accessed by my flatmate's PC
OSX on my Pismo with a 400MHz G3 and 512 RAM was fast.
With the bluechip upgrade to 900MHz and 1 GB RAM it is even better, but even
at 400MHz, it was fast enough.

using it for awhile on my lap or bed the fan suddenly gets louder and warm
air is pushed out the left side. This has not yet happened while using it
on a desk. At first I'd panic and shut down as soon as possible. When I
