Dear Listers
Can I tell you a shaggy dog story and then ask for some advice,
please? (If not, please just delete this mail!)
Got myself a 400MHz Pismo recently. Love it to bits for the look
alone

the solution has been to connect (basically, *any*)
Since most mics are not line level but XLR they would really degrade the
battery life as well as make for a MUCH thicker powerbook.

Hi,
I have one of the original ibooks and was wondering if there was an
inexpensive way to get video out on it.
I saw this adapter

it says you can hook it up to your ibook but it says to connect it to
the mini vga out. Can someone tell me if

I have several external Firewire drive that I want to connect to
my server (G4 @ 733MHz) and I wonder if there is any difference
in the performance in how they are connected.
I have:
- LaCie DVD±RW dual layer
- LaCie 250GB d2 Extreme
- Maxtor OneTouch 200GB
- FW case with various 20-30GB disks
Is there a adapter that will let you use your old laptop drive in
external encloser to use it as firewire drive

Thanks Ken, that is what I was afraid of. So is there any way to use the
Clamshell ibook to do presentations? (is there anything you can buy to
connect it to a TV?)
Thanks,
Pam

Well don't your model have the media port with video plus audio on the
left side? At least the second edition (366 and 466) have that. You
didn't tell us what model of clamshell you

lots. Use Froogle and search for 2.5 firewire enclosure and you'll get
a ton of hits. USB ones are even cheaper; I got one for $9;

Good timing on this post! I had a CD-RW drive sitting around that came
with my daughter's WinBook. I was thinking about selling it to get a
few bucks. I installed it in place of the CD-ROM drive in my Lombard,
and it works great. It doesn't have a faceplate, though.
Anyone have an extra Lombard
