Airport cards

2005-11-19 Thread GalBros
Hello, I think it was on this list recently where a lister blew two motherboards from using a bad Airport card? I obtained an airport card from a broken (per owner) Airport Base Station. I installed the airport card in my iBook ; on startup in 10.3, I was given a message saying I needed to

All the base station cards I have seen have a built in antenna and can only be used in the external card slots on laptops and not the inside slots. Tom Must be the card. But you said you got that card from a Base Station? Don't those cards have a built-in antenna? How did you fit it in the

I just came across: Hibernate on your non-brandnew Mac http://matt.ucc.asn.au/apple/machibernate.html And was immediately excited. One of the only things (in fact, THE only thing) that my Dell does better than my Powerbook is Hibernate mode. I ran the 'enable-safe-sleep.sh' script from

iBook keyboards

I've got an iBook 500 and an iBook G4 1.2 GHz. The keyboard on the 500 has a great feel, but the Airport on that 'book has given up the ghost (doesn't appear to be the card) and the OS occasionally locks. The G4 'book is a super machine, especially snappy with 1.25 gigs of RAM, but the

Hey all, Well I've been running Panther on my Lombard with a bad L2 cache for a while now. Have had no problems as long as I remember to push reset before booting if I shut down. I guess its time to upgrade to Tiger now however. I've looked through the archives since September but

Hey Will, I seem to have a slight dilemma in regards to xpf. It requires you to turn on the L2 Cache. Problem is, my L2 cache is failed on my processor. So don't know where to go from here? I wonder if XPF simply allows direct installation on the Lombard or actually enables usage? The
