Hi all,
I've been presented with a challenge that I can't do a thing with...
One of my colleagues has presented me with his 14 iBook (700 MHz G3).
There's just no power. I've tried taking the battery out for a few
days to reset the power manager, but I don't know what else to do...
Any
Hi all,
Laurent has an excellent point... using iMovie with a digital picture
in OS 9 (and in OS X for that matter) will produce 5 second clips of
the still. It's about 149 frames too much stuff, but you can split
the clip and delete the extra 4:29 (sec:frames) to get a single
frame. Of
Hi Dean,
The Monitors control panel will reflect the addition of the monitor
when you hook it up... the Displays system preference will do the
same once you go to OS X.
You shouldn't have to worry about the driver...

Hi all,
Bob has some excellent suggestions in his message snipped here for
brevity.
Luckily, you do not have to get a special ethernet cable for your
computer as all PowerBooks since the Ti model have auto sensing
ethernet ports. What this means is that you can use *any* ethernet

Hi Claire,
I have a 17 1.33 GHz machine. Very nice, but a little large for

My list of extras:
small optical mouse (I use a Macally iOptiJr)
extra battery
OWC keyboard cover (macsales.com)
6' USB cable
6' Firewire cable
cables that come with powerbook

Hi all,
I use a Formac Studio TVR for analog to digital conversion. Only $299

source to iMovie. I agree with Jeff that a DV cam works great for this
(I have a Sony 730 digital-8 deck,) but for plug-it-in-and-it-works
Hi Richard,
Check the settings in Preferences Text and see if the option for
Fractional Character Widths is turned on. If so, try turning it off.

Hi Markemmanuel,
I have had excellent luck with enclosures from Granite Digital

I currently use three of their older cases and they have worked
perfectly for over 2 years. They come with some seriously rocking
firewire cables as well. On top of all of this,
Hi,
If I remember correctly, the keyboard and trackball are adb devices,
but they use a different internal plug. You might check out some of the
technical references online to see how they're wired.
Interesting concept for the machine. You can get some serious
rechargeable batteries (check
