D-Link 514, no firewall
activated, SSID set and tried w/ + w/o WEP encryption.
Does anybody know if theres some difficulties having Avaya (formerly
Lucent) mixed with D-Link Products? Is there any way to solve this
problem ?

Finally I remembered the manual ejection "hole" next to the slots. I
pushed using a small, long tool (paper clip) and heard the typical
ejecting sound. After this, the slot worked as fine as before.

Additionally I replaced "Standard Additions" inside the "Scripting
Additions" folder the same way: No delay, no crash now!

came across the
fact, that everything works good right after switching on the
Wallsteet in the morning: It seems the temperatue has a negative
effect on the Firewire-PC-Card; when I put the card in the fridge for
a while everything goes well (for a moment until it warms up)... :-(
