I've noticed that the HD in my Pismo PowerBook "clicks off" rather more
abruptly and noisily during shutdown when running OS X (and, as of last
week, OS 10.2) than it does when it running OS 9, where it seems to
power down far more gently.
anyone else notice this? is my machine trying to tell
