Does anyone have comparison opinions on:
Elegato EyeTV 200 vs EsKape MyVideo vs MyTV vs MyVideo PVR
to be used with a 15 AL PB with OS 10.3.9? I can't really figure out the
differences. I want to record television to my powerbook.

Can anyone recommend speech recognition software that will be happy on a 15
AL PB, OS 10.3.9? Would it work with audio files already recorded on the
hard drive?
Thanks,

I bought one of the Griffin iMics and it works great. I use a professional
broadcast microphone because I have one, and AudioHijack Pro to record phone
interviews. Getting the software set up took some juggling, but it does a
good job.

I desperately need to figure out how to record phone conversations

After years of working my way up through used powerbooks, I'm finally
settled into a G4 15 al and a Pismo backup. I still have all the Lombards

to part them out on eBay or just say a box of Lombards (probably three or
more)
Have you recently upgraded iLife or moved the library?

Any thoughts on why my new (used) 15 G4 PB doesn't see a HD I have in a USB
drive enclosure? My Pismo, Lombard and G4 desktop have no problem with it.
The PB can see the 120GB firewire external with no problem.

Thanks to those who advised me on the hard drive in my Lombard I
thought was dead. The data retrieval guy told me he could detect the
drive and sent it back. I put it in a different Lombard and there it
was!
I've now bought a 120GB external drive for nightly backups and would

I emailed the other day about my dead HD, which I sent off for data

Second, I put another working HD in the same computer and that one wasn't

I'm rearranging furniture and realize that wireless printing would be
desirable. I have a desktop G4 (Yikes) and a Powerbook (G3 Lombard). The

I don't think of this as off-topic because I'm trying to determine what I

possibility of going directly from a VCR to a DVD recorder.
I appreciate all the suggestions.

Is it possible for a li-on battery for a Lombard (M7318) to be
completely and forever dead? I've tried battery reset and get a box that

If it is forever dead, can it be rebuilt?

I'm actually embarrassed to admit this, but it's happened to me a couple of
