Help- I have a new iBook going in for repair (slot won't accept
cds/dvds) and would like to clone the HD in case. My firewire drive is
full but my networked G5 has enough room to do the backup.
Question: what is the best way to clone it in this situation? Are there
any special steps to go throug
I was wondering... How do current iBooks fare in multimedia apps like
iMovie or Garageband? Currently I own a SLOW Pismo G3 with a 5400rpm
hard drive, and 768mb of RAM. I've been thinking of upgrading to an
iBook rather than a more expensive Powerbook. Does the slower 4200 rpm
hard drive hamper
i have the same drive in my Pismo. I'm running 10.2. Maybe you could
Downgrade to 10.2- it should work then (unless it's another issue). Try
burning in OS9 to make sure the drive hasn't gone south.

GOOD NEWS! My 32gb Travelstar now wakes up in OS 10.1.3 on my Pismo
(400mz) after closing and reopening the lid! This was an issue I &
others suffered with using this drive in OS9. No internal modification
necessary.
