This still sounds exactly like the grounding braid problem. Get a flashlight and look through the adapter jack in the back of your WS 300. If you can see the copper braid, then you might try putting a piece of electrical tape on just the one side of the adapter plug where you see the braid, maki

Look in your Apple system profiler. It will give you the serial number. I bought one of these adapters and it has the model number listed as being recalled. However, since it didn't come with the powerbook, it isn't registering on the website. Wouldn't my adapter be included in the recall as we

As of a few days ago, my A/C adapter only works when you push it to one side after inserting it into the PowerBook (Wallstreet 300). I have already tried the "push the copper wires out of the way with a toothpick" trick from Macfixit.com. Does this sound more like a bad A/C adapter or a bad P
