There is a way to make a bootable CD in OSX and I have it here
I want to boot to a CD other than my install disk, so that I can use
Diskwarrior (my version is too old to boot my PowerBook) and Norton
DiskDoctor.

I want to know how to make a disk image that will show up when I burn a CD
that will show up like commercial CD's do instead of just the generic CD
image that I get now. I am using Toast 5.2 and 6.

I don't have Toast, and think $100 is a bit steep just
for the ability to make bootable images. I want to
know how to do it in the finder, with Disk Utility, or
just if someone could post a bootable Panther image on
the web somewhere that I can download and add my
utility software to.
Thanks,
That program specifically excludes Panther, which is
the only version of OSX I have (came on my 12 1 GHz
PB).

There is a software app that can create bootable CD images that you can
burn. These include a full Finder interface and you can include your
own apps, but hasn't been updated for Panther yet.

That wasn't your original question was it ?
You asked how to make a disk image that will show up like a commercial
CD - you didn't ask about making a bootable OS X CD.

That was the original question. I did get one answer to the question, which
Problem is I need it to work with Panther, as that is the only OS that
I have, and the only one that my 12 1GHz AlBook will boot to.
