As far as I know the Powerbooks before the AlBooks (pismo, lombard

I have heard of someone successfully getting a G4 iBook to book 9.2.2
as well, but haven't been able to try it myself.

You can possibly use the early LCD iMac install CD. It works on the
single CPU 1Ghz for me. This box wasn't supposed to be able to boot up
into OS 9.

I believe it can boot OS 9, but you have to install OS 9 from the original
Restore CD that came with the computer. I don't believe you can install OS 9
from an OS 9 install CD. That's a shame they lost the CD.

Seeing the discussion about dual boot G4s...
I have an MDD G4 2x1GHz (FW 400 only) which I bought
second hand without the original install CDs (where does
everyone's CD disappear to ? I have never got original CDs
with any second hand Mac), sorry I digress...
Can this Mac boot into OS 9 ?
