A while back I asked about different ftp clients I could use with my
'book.
Howard -
Don't know if I responded before, but my recommendation would be the free or
donorware Cyberduck, available at the usual sites, Versiontracker, etc.
It has served me very well know for several months.
I don't know if I looked at cyberduck before or not--I'll do so
(again?). In the meantime, FireFTP seems to be working quite well.
Thanks!

I really like Fetch, for what it's worth.
Like others, I happily used Fetch for many years with no complaints.
When I had to download our entire Web site, however, Fetch turned the
process a long ordeal (slow, stalled or incomplete downloads).

ftp://hostname in the Finder is nice, but I've noticed it's unduly
slow. Besides, the other programs allow you to put files on the
remote host as well.
(it's sad, because this is possible. Netscape 4.0 allows 2-way ftp
transfers; making it a very nice ftp client. Later
I really like Transmit 3. Super easy to use and lots of options for
download/uploading.
