For those who might be interested here's an update on the Wallstreet
problems that I was having. After much taking apart and investigating I am
pretty certain that the problem is the PMU. It display's the same symptoms

Hi Sam, I can't help a lot, but if the WS is dead, you can salvage the
hardrive to retrive the files, you can get an external case from
Meritline for about $12.00 plus $6.00 shipping.

If saving data is a priority, get an adaptor that
allows a laptop HDD to run in a desktop.
Can you run the WS without a battery? Can you switch
A/C adaptors? Can you do a take-apart? I took apart my
WS yesterday, so I can add some tips if you do (try

Morning all -
I have a teacher friend who lost (as in they stopped working) three laptops
in a 24hr period (see aside below for details). Needless to say he is not
a happy camper. I am trying to fix his Wallstreet so that he has something
