Hi Sam, If saving data is a priority, get an adaptor that allows a laptop HDD to run in a desktop. Can you run the WS without a battery? Can you switch A/C adaptors? Can you do a take-apart? I took apart my WS yesterday, so I can add some tips if you do (try "wallstreet take apart" on your favour

Morning all - I have a teacher friend who lost (as in they stopped working) three laptops in a 24hr period (see aside below for details). Needless to say he is not a happy camper. I am trying to fix his Wallstreet so that he has something to work on and from its' symptoms I believe that the PMU
